Senior neurosurgeon of Jaipur, Dr. Yogesh Gupta, shed light on various aspects of UBE technology. He stated that UBE is one of the most advanced technologies currently available for treating spinal issues. He explained that it is a minimally invasive surgery, similar to laparoscopic surgery, in which the entire spine surgery is performed through two small incisions—one of 5 mm and the other of 8 mm.

Dr. Gupta further mentioned that this technology is available at only a few centers in North India and is significantly safer and more precise compared to traditional techniques. He emphasized that there is no muscle injury or bone cutting involved in this procedure. Being a fourth-generation endoscopic surgery, it allows patients to be discharged on the same day or the following day.
